Job Title: Account Officer

Location: Enugu
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Description

Financial Record Keeping: Maintain accurate financial records by tracking all income and expenses, including payments from clients, operational expenses, and employee salaries. Ensure all financial transactions are properly recorded and categorized.
Invoicing and Billing: Prepare and issue invoices to clients for services rendered, ensuring timely collection of payments. Follow up on overdue accounts and manage accounts receivable.
Bank Reconciliation: Reconcile company bank statements with financial records to ensure accuracy. Investigate and resolve any discrepancies promptly.
Budget Management: Assist in the preparation of the company’s budget by tracking and analyzing expenses. Provide regular budget vs. actual reports to the Finance Manager.
Payroll Management: Process payroll for the company’s employees, ensuring that all deductions (such as taxes and benefits) are accurate. Manage employee expense reimbursements.
Financial Reporting: Prepare and present regular financial reports, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements, to management. Provide insights and recommendations based on financial analysis.
Cost Control: Monitor and manage operational costs, including fuel, maintenance, and other transport-related expenses. Identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements.
Compliance: Ensure that the company complies with all relevant financial regulations, including tax laws and financial reporting standards. Prepare and submit tax returns and other financial documents as required.
Audit Support: Assist in the preparation and facilitation of internal and external audits. Provide auditors with requested documentation and explanations to ensure a smooth audit process.
Vendor and Supplier Payments: Manage payments to vendors and suppliers, ensuring that all invoices are verified and approved before payment. Maintain good relationships with vendors by ensuring timely payments.
Cash Flow Management: Monitor and manage the company’s cash flow, ensuring there are sufficient funds available to meet operational needs. Provide regular cash flow forecasts.
Customer Account Management: Maintain records of client accounts, including contract details and payment histories. Ensure customer accounts are up-to-date and resolve any billing or payment issues.
Financial Advice: Provide financial advice to management on areas such as investment opportunities, financial risks, and long-term financial planning.

Salary
N60,000 – N80,000 / Month.
