Finance Analyst – Job Brief

* Assisting with the execution of existing processes within the finance team.
* Development/improvement of systems that support more efficient operations, and assisting with processing of financial and investment transactions.
Why?
We have a rapidly expanding finance team and continually evolving processes. The Finance analyst will add a spark to the output of the finance and portfolio teams by taking on responsibilities around business specific analysis, operations, fund accounting and troubleshooting via reconciliations.
This person would provide a bridge between the finance team and the portfolio team, ensuring that fund accounting records are optimal and adequately reported to the regulators while also ensuring that relevant stakeholders of the finance team such as vendors and bankers are appropriately managed.
Primary Responsibilities
* Prepare and analyze financial information in line with IFRSs and regulatory requirements.
* Assist with day-to-day financial operations affecting the finance and portfolio teams, including reconciliations, correspondence managements, general accounting and payments processing.
* Provide support in handling regulatory activities within the team.
* Prepare reports for decision making within the finance and portfolio management teams.

3. Proficiency in PowerPoint or Keynote, Microsoft excel or Google sheets and other similar packages.
4. Good communication and writing skills.
Candidate Profile
* A good first degree from a reputable institution. Accounting, Finance, Mathematics, Economics or related fields preferred.
* Must have at least passed the Skills level of the ICAN/ACCA professional exams.
* CFA is an added advantage.
* 1-3 years of experience in related fields
* Experience with fund accounting is an added advantage
Reporting Line
The job holder will report to the Finance Manager with a dotted line to the Portfolio Manager
Compensation
The starting compensation for this role is between NGN450,000 – NGN650,000 monthly net.
