Job Title: Commercial Manager (Oil & Gas)

Job Responsibilities
Commercial:
Responsible for the Commercial management of projects, putting together bids for new work, negotiating and agreeing contracts.
Effective follow up of all Company bids from Tender stage to award. Follow up of all government related agencies to ensure Company is Technically and Commercially compliant. This would entail follow up with NUIMS, NCDMB, NUPRC but to mention a few.
Oversees the Commercial pricing of Company bids.
Oversees the Sales and Marketing, Contracts, Legal and Procurement, Tendering and Proposal functions. This will entail maximizing value for the company in respect to the aforementioned functions.
Explores new avenues of activity and seeking opportunities that the company can exploit in its bid to develop and grow
Analyses sales and other reports that give insight into how the company can make adjustments to improve performance.
Reports to GM, Commercial and works as a member of a cohesive team
Resolves issues with contracts and commercial operations.
Communicates with parties in a contract so that all understand the terms, particularly a contract’s financial aspects
Assesses risks and makes recommendations based on a thorough analysis of all factors involved in a business situation
Coaches’ employees on best practices for managing commercial issues and handling daily issues and tasks
Works efficiently and calmly with tight deadlines or other stress factors arise. ➢ Ensures a high win ratio for Company proposals.
Develops and implements the commercial strategy for the company.
Accountable for Tendering and contracts awards process.
Negotiates, develops and manages all commercial agreements to optimize the Company’s commercial interests
Provides commercial support on all operations & development work
Ensures commercial practices comply with industry and regulatory
requirements
To identify and make contact with potential new customers with a view to securing new projects long term.
To follow up leads and enquiries from potential new clients.
To develop and maintain a professional relationship with existing and new clients to ensure they are satisfied with the company’s performance and to identify their future needs and requirements, advising on how those needs can be met.
Manages the team of commercial contracts and legal staff effectively.
Strategy & Administration:
Ensure cost effectiveness by the delivery of full range of effective Commercial services.
Act as a central point of reference for internal and external queries with reference to Commercial matters.
Ensure telephone and email enquiries are dealt with to a high professional standard and maintain confidentiality.
Monitoring the implementation procedural/administrative systems within the company.
Serves in an advisory capacity to Commercial administration.
Oversees and co-ordinates the various aspects and process of the sub-division i.e.Sales and Marketing; Contracts and Procurement; Tendering and Proposals, Legal and External Govt Relations
Compliance
Reviews, revises and initiates policies and procedures for the general operation of the Compliance scheme and its related activities to prevent illegal, unethical, or improper conduct.
Collaborates with other Division/Sub-division (e.g., Finance, QHSE & Government Relations) to ensure compliance to applicable statutory laws & regulatory requirements.
Provides reports on a regular basis, and as directed or requested, to keep the GM. Commercial and Top management informed of the operation and progress of compliance efforts.
Departmental Reports:
Oversee and review the required sub-divisional (Marketing and Sales, Contracts, Legal and Procurement, Tendering/Proposals) reports and presentations. To provide comprehensive, effective and efficient administrative support.
Required Skills and Qualifications
You have Minimum of 8 years’ experience in Related Field in the Oil and Gas Industry
A University degree in Law, Engineering or related Business subject is preferred
Professional certification is an added advantage. IACCM or more
Working in an Engineering Procurement and Construction company in oil and gas is preferred, thorough knowledge of Oil and gas production processes is preferred
Oil and gas offshore experience is a serious advantage

Possibility to earn 10% in USD in Sales commission.
