Job Description
Graphic designerscreate visual concepts, using computer software or by hand, to communicate ideas that inspire, inform, and captivate consumers.
They develop the overall layout and production design for applications such as advertisements, brochures, magazines, and reports.
Responsibilities
Graphic designers create visual representations of ideas and information for a variety of materials, such as websites, brochures, and logos.Their responsibilities include:
Conceptualization:
Based on client briefs, project goals, and target audience preferences, graphic designers generate creative ideas and design solutions.
Visual design
Using design software and hand-held tools, graphic designers create visually appealing designs that meet client needs.
Collaboration:
Graphic designers work with clients, marketing teams, copywriters, photographers, and other designers to develop creative solutions.
Communication:
Graphic designers use excellent verbal and written communication skills to understand client requirements, present design ideas, and collaborate with team members.
Time management:
Graphic designers use strong organizational skills to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines.
Revisions and feedback:
Graphic designers make revisions based on client feedback and ensure the final design meets the project’s needs.
Quality assurance:
Graphic designers’ quality assures designs for errors.
Final design:
Graphic designers pass the final design to development or publishing teams for release.
Salary
N100,000 – N120,000 per month.
